The chemicals in hair dye can cause irritation and oxidative stress to the scalp which can affect hair health. Calm It Down™ is a water-based serum that soothes, nourishes and cools the scalp after it is exposed to hair dyes, relaxers or other chemicals while delivering antioxidants, extracts and peptides to support scalp and hair health. Calm It Down™ should be used after every on-scalp color service to help reduce the stress from hair dye. Calm It Down™ also contains the Mela-9™ Complex which supports pigment production.

Key ingredients

Schinus Terebinthifolia Seed Extract: A naturally derived extract that relieves redness, irritation and supports scalp health.

Pentasodium Tetracarboxymethyl Palmitoyl Dipeptide-12 (and) Tripeptide-79: Helps to relieve scalp stress and manage inflammation.

Citrus Reticulata (Tangerine) Extract: An antioxidant that counteracts oxidative stress from hair dye or other chemical services and stimulates melanin production.

Usage

After rinsing hair dye or other chemicals used on the scalp, follow with Arey’s Wash shampoo and Smooth conditioner.

After rinsing Smooth conditioner, comb the hair away from the face.

Shake Well.

Depending on hair thickness, fill 2-4 pipettes and apply directly to wet scalp, working from the front hairline to the back starting at your natural part.

Massage in with your finger tips. Do not rinse off.

Follow with additional applications as needed.

Air-dry or blow-dry to achieve desired style.

Pro-tip

To help prep the scalp before hair-dye application and for those who have more sensitive scalps, apply Calm It Down™ 4-6 hours before applying hair-dye. This will not affect the dye’s ability to color the hair.

Calm It Down™ can be used daily after chemical services to help soothe the scalp while promoting hair health and pigment production.
